You don't feel old. You don't feel tired. But the mirror doesn't reflect that and you've made the decision to change the image that's looking back at you.

Your face is your calling card. It's often the lasting impression by which people remember you. The years add character to your face, but they often leave undesirable reminders as well. Sagging skin, jowls, drooping eyelids and wrinkles are just some of the signs of aging that make people want to turn back the clock. Dr. John A. Grossman has spent the past 30 years evaluating facial aging and reversing the ravages of time with a skillful, unique and often original approach that combines both surgical and non-surgical techniques. Thanks to cosmetic procedures- be they mini-lifts or full facelifts, blepharoplasty, chemical peel or laser surfacing - you can erase some of the signs of aging and look as good on the outside as you feel on the inside. Dr. Grossman and his associate, Dr. Philippe A. Capraro each use the latest techniques as well as the tried and true procedures to restore your youthful appearance. Each person presents with unique and individual needs and characteristics. For some, a mini-facelift or a mid-facelift will do, whereas others may need more extensive procedures that in addition to a full facelift might include facial implants, fat transplanting, laser resurfacing, eyelid or forehead lift.

“Aging in the face and neck region may manifest itself differently for each of us. Wherever it begins, it is characterized by relaxation of the skin’s elastic tone, loss of volume with deflation of facial fullness and contours, stretching and sagging of facial muscle groups. And it’s not just the facial skin and fat that are affected. There is also reabsorption of some areas of facial bones. Just look in some of the fashion magazines at the young models. You can see how a “youthful face” is characterized by round, full contours. Not all areas of the face are affected simultaneously. Some regions begin the process sooner than others. You’ve looked in the mirror and know what’s happening. Or, if you’re still young enough to not have some of these things happen, just look at your parents and grandparents to get a preview. Advancing age portends wrinkles, lines, folds, jowls, skin discolorations, both brown and red. And that’s when you begin to seriously consider doing something about it.

Whether you’re concerned about the aging face, or the aging body for that matter, it all begins with the skin.
